This was supposed to be a daily journal but it grew(see My Name is Roxie’s Diary)(unlike me – I’m very small, but not in spirit). I’m not the most focused cavalier king charles spaniel and my mind goes in different directions all at once –so I decided to break up my journal into different topics. By the way I refer to my parents as maw,mawm, mawther,paw,pawther etc.,. I really think this is very,very, silly but my maw and paw made me because they don’t want everyone to know that I call them by their given names. See Roxie’s Summer 2008

ROXIE’S CAVALIER RESCUE:  Cavalier Rescue is one of my priorities — seeing I’m a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  Meet: Maggie in Rogers, AR  Maggie, a beautiful 4 year old Cavalier. In September, she was found alone in the woods of Missouri, frightened and sick. When she first came into foster care, it was very obvious she had never been handled with love. … Maggie needs a home with someone who is home most of the time, can go to work with you, or someone that will allow her to never be crated. From experience, she does not do well in a crate alone. She is doggie door trained and very much enjoys being outside, especially to catch bugs! This has become her favorite past time. Maggie is a great snuggler and sneaks in kisses on occasion. She walks well on a leash .  And Sweet Lizzy in Central Iowa: 5 year old Sweet Lizzie is a recent release from an AKC breeder who is retiring from the business due to poor health. She was one of the breeding females, and was bred on the property and has lived there her entire life. Lizzie is inquisitive and loves to investigate outside, but sticks close to her human. ROXIE DIGS NEWS BITES – Roxie Digs Newsbites came about because I’m subjected to several radios blaring away all day. Because of this I feel somewhat compelled to share some of the noise that permeates my subconscious and since there are so many different stations on at the same time – I could get events a little mixed up.

Hi Everyone
My Name is Roxie – I’m a 5 years old dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ) and I’m very, very afraid of lightening and thunder(see videos and articles) I don’t like creepy crawlies(but I don’t wish them any harm), my predecessors Charlie and Max(they were Cavalier King Charles Spaniels too) would spend the day chasing flies, even bees. Charlie and Max’s best treasure was finding a dead bird(and trying to sneak it into the house). That would gross me out. I love playing fetch with all my toys, watching t.v(with the family), and I prefer drinking water out of a glass –that’s evolution for you.  I am named after Roxie Hart from the Musical Chicago.  I don’t resemble “Renée Zellweger” my legs aren’t as long, but my family assures me that I’m just as beautiful in my own way—not that outer beauty is important – it’s “inner beauty” that counts.   If that’s true I have to be one of the most beautiful dogs in the whole world — because I don’t have one mean thought and I love everyone and everything.

When I was a “puppy” I woke up every morning to the musical “Chicago”.  After being up half the night with me; “Mawther” said that was the only way she could face the morning.  I fell asleep to “Sing to Me in Yiddish”
